Driverso Insurance and Security Deposit Policies
To ensure you a carefree rental experience, insurance coverage is included in your rental price, for the following eventualities:
- Third party liability;
- Damage and theft: the Collision and Loss Damage waiver (CDW & LDW) are included in your rental price and the Customer's liability in the event that the car is damaged is limited to the amount of the deductible.
To rent a car, the service provider will block a security deposit on the main driver's credit card, equal to the value of the deductible (which varies from car to car). This is also a form of protection in the event of non-fulfillment of contractual obligations by the customer. The security deposit will be refunded immediately and in full, if the car is returned in integrity.
What happens if the car is completely damaged or stolen?
Only the security deposit will be withheld and the customer will not incur any extra costs. The remaining amount, after having deducted the deposit, will be covered by the insurance.
What happens if the car suffers a minor damage, such as a scratch on the side?
The customer will have to bear the repair costs, which will be deducted from the total amount of the deductible. If, for example, the deductible is £ 3.000 and the damage amounts to £ 150, the customer will be reimbursed of the remaining (£ 2.850).
What happens if I cause damage to third parties?
Any type of damage to third parties is covered in full by the insurance included in the rental price.
Driverso adopts a cost transparency policy and commits not to pursue any form of profit on repair costs. We only rely on contracted repairers and technicians, who apply the best rates on the market.
We will never make profit on vehicle repair as we wish that our Clients always remember us for their amazing driving experience and not for a scratch on their car.
